The Great Teacher remained engrossed in prayers from the age of 15 to 30 years. He left his father's home at the age of 30 in search of the Truth.

According to the 'Dadestan-i-denig', he had the first Vision of Ahura Mazda on Roj Dae-pa Meher, Mah Ardibehest. His first question to Dadaar Ahura Mazda was "Who is the best man among all people in this world?" In Dadaar Ahura Mazda's response to this very first query, one finds a summary of the Zarathushtrian ethics of living. Dadaar Ahura Mazda is believed to have said :

"The best man among all people in this world is one who walks the Right Path, He who gives charity, who is just, reveres fire, reveres the waters and is kind to animals.".

The Great Teacher is said to have received the Revelation for ten years and had seven Conferences with Dadaar Ahura Mazda. All the mysteries and secrets of the universe were revealed to him.

When the Revelation was complete, the Amesha Spentas showered special blessings on the Prophet and each one of them asked him to carry a special message. In the message of the Amesha Spentas, we have the entire concept of what we recognise today as striking the ecological balance and living in harmony with Nature

In the Firdos (hidden religious community, the name led to our present-day word "paradise") the revelation was later noted on clay tablets for purposes of teaching, with the symbols (as seen below), which made it easier to remember the whole text by heart, as was then usual. For ease of the un-initiated, the translation into spoken language has been added here. The text of the SIROZAH (Si means 30, rozah means days) originally contained a fragment, fitting for each of the 30 religious calendar days. The presently known version is as edited by the Sassanid Priesthood, who added, deleted and changed parts; also, the names and numberings of all their scriptures were, because of this, totally different from what the original scriptures were like. Even so, only part of what they compiled, was saved and translated to reach us as the nowadays "pseudo" Zend Avesta. We are here (as in other parts of this website) using the names and numberings of this Sassanid version (containing for instance the Vendidad, Nasks, Yasts, Gathas, Yasna, Visparad, etc.), but instead will give here the "Zend" version of each of the appropriate texts, this time WITH the symbols, which will enable the thus enlightened reader to check the Spiritual Meaning :

SIROZAH II - I:

ORMUZD

We sacrifice unto the bright and glorious Ahura Mazda, we sacrifice unto his Ahuras, who are all-ruling and all-beneficent !
