I Zarathustra asked of Ahura Mazda :

“O Ahura Mazda, most beneficent Spirit, maker of the material World, You Holy One ! II What  of the  Holy Word is the strongest : what is the most victorious :  what is the most glorious :  what is the most effective :  what is the best healing : what destroys best the malice of Devas and Man : what makes the material World best come to the fulfillment : what frees the material World best from the anxieties of the heart ?”

III AndAhura Mazda answered him : 

” Our Name, o Zarathustra, of Us, who are the Ahuras !”

IV Then Zarathustra spoke thus:

“ Reveal to me that Name of Yours, o You: Ahura Mazda !” 

VAhura Mazda, in reply, said to him : 

“ My Name is : the One of Whom questions are asked, o Holy Zarathustra !  My Name is : The Strong One !  My Name is : Perfection ! My Name is : All good things that have been created by Mazda, the offspring of  the Holy Principle ! 

VI My Name is also : Understanding : My Name is : The One with Understanding ; My Name is : Knowledge. My Name is : Ahura. My Name is : The Most Beneficent. My Name is : The Unconquerable One. My Name is : He Who makes the true account. My Name is : The All-seeing One. My Name is : The Healing One. My Name is : The Creator. My Name is Mazda, the All-knowing One ! 

VII Do Worship Me ! o Zarathustra, by day and by night ;  I will come to you, for help and for joy ! VIII I : Ahura Mazda and the good Sraosha, will come to you, for your help and your joy ; the Waters, the Plants, and the Fravashis of the Holy Ones will come to you, for your help and your joy !

IX O Zarathustra : if  you want to destroy the malice, of Devas and of men, then you should Invoke* these Names of Me,  every day and every night ! *By the Ashem Vohu and Yatha Ahu Vairyo.

X I am the Keeper : I am the Creator and I am the Maintainer,I am the Discerner, and I am the Spirit ! 

XI My Name is : The Bestower of Health.  My Name is : Ahura.  My Name is : Mazda, the All-Knowing. My Name is : the Full-Seeing.  My Name is : the Far-Seeing. My Name is : the Protector. My Name is : the Producer of Prosperity. My Name is : the Word of Prosperity. My Name is : the liberal King. My Name is : He Who does not deceive ;My Name is : He Who is not deceived. My Name is : He Who conquers everything. My Name is : He Who has shaped everything : My Name is : the energetic One. My Name is : the great One. My Name is : the good Sovereign. My Name is : the Wisest of the Wise. These all are My Names !

XII O Zarathustra ! He, who in this material World shall invoke and pronounce those Names of Mine : either by Day or by Night ; he who shall invoke Them when he rises up or when he lies down, when he goes out of his dwelling place, or when he goes out of his Town, or when he goes out of his Country and he comes into another Country :  those Names shall come in to keep him from behind and to keep him from in front. It will be as if there were a thousand Men  watching over one Man !

XIII The Will of the Ahuras is the Law of ASHA. (The Will of the Lord is the Law of Holiness.) O Holy Zarathustra ! you do know this, and how it is, from that Understanding, which is Mine and from your Knowledge of Me, as to how the World first began and as to how it will end." 

XIV [And Zarathustra said:]

“ We worship the Memory of Ahura Mazda : to keep the great Word. We worship the Understanding of  Ahura Mazda : to study the great Word. XV We worship the Tongue of Ahura Mazda : to speak forth the great Word. We worship the Creation of  Ahura Mazda and the Holy Creations of ASHA, that are foremost in greatness. 

XVI Here I take as Lord and Master the greatest of All : Ahura Mazda, to increase Ahura Mazda, Who is so Bright and glorious ;to make increase the power of the Ahuras ; to make increase the power of the Stars, that are so bright and glorious ; to make increase the strength of the faithful Men ; to make increase the strength of all the Holy Creatures of the Beneficent Spirit. 

XVII ASHA is the best of all good ; ( Holiness is the Best of all good.) Give unto that faithful Man Brightness and Glory ; give him Health of Body, give him Sturdiness of Body. give him victorious Strength of Body,give him full Welfare of Wealth, give him a victorious Offspring, give him long, long Life, and [at the end of it:] grant him to stay in the bright, all-happy, blissful Abode of the Holy Ones.” 

XVIII [And Ahura Mazda spoke:]

“May it so come, According to my Blessing : a thousand remedies, ten thousand remedies ! ASHA is the Best of All Good ( Holiness is the Best of All Good.)”
