GATHA'S, part 1:

AHUNAVAD GÂTHÂ

(continued)

YASNA XXXII

I And the evil teacher may destroy our Teachings ! he may pervert the True Understanding of Life,  seizing away from me my riches, which is : the choice and real wealth of Your Good Mind.

II To You, and to  ASHA, O Ahura Mazda ! do I therefore cry aloud, with the voice of my Spirit ! III Yea, such liars may be able to destroy my life, for they consult with evil ! IV For evil will seek after these things by means of her evil kingdom, situated in the abode of darkness and chaos, which is the worst mind. These two : together they are the destroyers of life !

V But I get my reward from that Best, One God, who teaches in the far-reaching mental light of ASHA, and who, together with Sraosha and Mithra, rules as Supreme God ; O You, Ahura Mazda ! However bad my woes and feelings of doubt may be,  Yea, it is within His Power to let His Sraosha and Mithra heal them.

YASNA XXXIII

I As by the Laws of the Cosmic Order, so will our spiritual chieftain act, he who is named :  Zarathustra, by the Lord. II He will do most just deeds toward the wicked, and will be equally just toward the righteous, and also just toward him, whose deeds of fraud and whose righteous deeds  combine in equal measure. III I, who, abjuring sin,  call earnestly upon all assisting Ahuras to be obedient to  You, entreating the Greatest One of them for help unto us, thereby gaining long life in the realm of Your Good Mind, which is incarnated in our minds ; and for paths that lead straight from the Cosmic Order, wherein Ahura Mazda does dwell .

IV Because I, therefore, do abjure the evil mind and all disobedience,  arrogance and falsehood, O Mazda ! I would beseech of You for a sight of You, and for consultation with You !

V Please : do make that our bodily [love-] and our personal life will be blessed by the Ahuras through Your Good Mind, Your Sovereign Power, and Your Love.

VI And, O You, Who are the most beneficent,  Ahura Mazda ! and You, Who also are the Cosmic Order and Who are furthering on the Kingdom ; and You, the Good Mind, and the Sovereign Power !  Please, do hear me, all of you, I pray You, and Have mercy for every Deed, whatsoever, which I do.

VII O Ahura Mazda ! Will You please reveal Your Nature to me, which is the Power of  the Ahuras of Thy Holy Kingdom, and do reveal the Blessed Gifts of Thy Good Mind through These Ahuras !

VIII And You, O Gracious Love, do demonstrate Spiritual Truth through Your Cosmic Order.

IX Thus  Zarathustra does give the very life of his being, as an offering.

X And, likewise, O Mazda ! he offers the priority of the Good Mind, whose superiority is gained by his Love.

XI And, above all things else,  he offers his Obedience in Deed and in Speech, to You, and These, in harmony with Your established Sovereign power: ASHA !

YASNA XXXIV

I Immortality and the Cosmic Order, You have given, O Mazda ! to all, through Holy Deeds, Words and Thoughts.

II All these gifts of the Good Spirit have been offered back in gratitude to You, by the Mind and the Deed of the generous man whose Soul goes forth hand in hand with the thoughtful man, whose life is progressing in harmony with the Cosmic Order, all in homage to You, O Mazda ! and with Invocations by thankful devotees.

III What is then the nature of Your Kingdom, O Mazda ? IV and what are Your riches ?

For sure it is this: that I may become perfect in my actions, like You, Yourself:  living in tune with the Cosmic Order and Your Good Mind ! V Truly, O Mazda ! You are present, vested in the Cosmic Order and Your Good Mind!

VI Do then please grant me Your indication as to how I may approach You, the more devotedly, in my Worship ! VII We are Your worshippers,  O Mazda ! Your helpers, who, as the enlightened of Your Good Mind, are giving forth the Teachings with the illumination of  Radiant Thought as inherited Treasure.

VIII Aye, they who desert Your bountiful Path, O Mazda ! that one which is desired by You, O You Omniscient !  they thus do abandon it by reason of the evil-doer, and in their ignorance of Your Good Mind.

IX Yea, please do show me, O Mazda ! that Path and its reward; tell me the Best of Truths; reveal the Best Words and Best Actions through Your Good Mind, which is living within us [which You placed in our souls], and through the Cosmic Order [which You placed in our bodies], O Ahura !

X And may You, by Your Sovereign Power and Your Grace, make life truly progressive until Perfection shall have been attained !
