Nota Bene: In the
below text, the numbers II and III (indicated in violet)
are identical to part of the Essene texts from the Dead Sea Scrolls, given below
here for comparison.

HOM YAST, Continued.
I
I praise
the Cloud
that
waters
You, and
the
Rains that make you
grow, on the
summits of
the Mountains ; and
I
praise Your lofty
Mountains, where the
Haoma
branches
spread.
II
This wide
Earth do
I
praise,
expanded far with paths, so
productive,
and
full-bearing, Your
Mother,
Holy
Plant !
III
Yea,
I
praise the
Lands where
You do grow,
sweet scented,
swiftly spreading, the
good growth of the
Lord.
IV
Grow then,
with all Your
stems and branches, with all Your
shoots and
tendrils,
increase,
You ! through my
Word.
V
To five
I do
belong, to five others
I do
not :
Of Good
Thought
I am, of the
evil
I am not ;
Of the
Good
Word
I am, of the
evil
I am
not ;
Of the
Good
Deed
I am, of the
evil
I am not.
To
Obedience
I am given, and to
deaf disobedience
I am not ;
To the
Ashavan
l do belong, and to the
wicked,
I do not.
VI
We do
worship
Haoma, who
makes us
progress ;
we do
worship
Haoma, who
drives
death far away ; Yea,
we do
worship all the
Haoma Plants
!
