YASNA XI

Here, in the Ancient Persian Chess Game of Asha, the Creator/Preserver and the Amshaspands (Amesha Spentas = Bountiful Immortals) are depicted left to right, in the back row: 8: Asha Vahishta, 6: Spenta Armaïti, 4: Vohu Mana, 2: Sraosha/Mithra, 1: Ahura Mazda, 3: Ameretat, 5: Haurvatat, 7: Khshatra Vairya

I Who, to us is One, hereupon, to You becomes Two, to be made to Three, to Four, to Five, to Six, to Seven, to Eight, who all serve You through  ASHA !

8    6    4    2    1    3    5    7

In this sequence the back row of the Forces of the Light was created.

In this list the counter-forces are included in the order of the creation, as already described in Fargard 1.

I I do celebrate my   praise II for Good Thoughts, Good Words and Good Deeds : for my Thoughts, my Speech, and my Actions.  III I present all Good Thoughts, Good Words and Good Deeds, and with rejection I do repudiate all  evil thoughts, and words and deeds.

IV Herewith, O You Bountiful Immortals, I give sacrifice and homage to You : with my Mind,  Words, and Deeds, and with my entire person !  Yea,  I do offer the very flesh of my body to You as Your own.

V And praise do I give to ASHA. What a blessing is  the Divine Order !

YASNA XII

VI As a Mazda worshipper, of the Order of Zarathustra, I do confess to be a praiser of the Bountiful Immortals.

VII And endowed with all Good Possessions, l do attribute all good things, that are Good, to the Good  Ahura Mazda : to the Holy One, the resplendent, the glorious, whose are all things whatsoever, which are Good; whose is   ASHA, the Cosmic Order, pervading all things pure, whose are the Stars, in Whose Light the glorious Beings and  objects are clothed.

VIII A Mazda worshipper am I, of Zarathustra’s Order; so do I confess - to be a praiser and a confessor, IX and do I, therefore, praise aloud the well-thought Thought, the Word well-spoken and the Deed well done !
