DUTCH NATIONALS FINAL SCORE

TASK 1: Six Dutch pilots in goal (53km) and Hugo Robben takes the lead for the Dutch Nationals. Some pilots took the start cylinder too early and therefore scored minimum distance. Leontien Kragten leads Jolanda de Zeeuw but with only 6 points the difference and hopefully some more tasks the game is on. TASK 2: Task of 74,1km with eventually 7 flying dutchmen in goal. Ronny Geijsen crosses the finishline as the 1st dutch and 5th overall pilot just 38 seconds after the winner... Hugo Robben increases his lead with Marcel Bourgondien crawling into second position. Leontien Kragten still leads Jolanda but the margin is reduced to only 2 points. TASK 3: Task of 86,9km after which a very constant scoring Marcel Bourgondien takes the lead dropping Hugo Robben to 4th place. Joost Visschedijk and Ruud van der Heijden change places with Joost in 2nd place now. Ronny Geijsen is steaming up from the 19th position on the first day to a stunning 5th place after three tasks. Leontien Kragten increases her lead on Jolanda de Zeeuw to a difference of 185 points. TASK 4: Task with a triangle of 66km and goal in St. Andre where eventually 90 (!!!) pilots crossed the line (of which 13 dutch pilots). Dutch pilot Pierre van Bragt was the last pilot to get into goal taking almost twice the time as the winner but nevertheless he made it. Marcel Bourgondien was the first dutch pilot in goal and confirms his lead for the Dutch Nationals but is still within reach of Joost Visschedijk, Ruud van der Heijden, Ronny Geijsen and Hugo Robben. Also Leontien Kragten still leads Jolanda de Zeeuw who narrowed the gap a bit to 165 points forcing her to do an all-or-nothing on the final task. The final day will be nerve-racking for some !!! TASK 5: Much better conditions than expected made again 90 pilots reach goal (45km). Ronny Geijsen came in second overall and first dutch pilot. Joost Visschedijk (2nd at the time) came in before Marcel Bourgondien but the difference was not big enough to threat the titel for Marcel. Unfortunately for Leontien Kragten things went different at the female part of the Dutch Nationals. She landed 25km short of goal whilst Jolanda de Zeeuw crossed the goalline making more than up for the trailing gap of 165 points. Since Marcel and Jolanda are a couple they take home two gold medals and two floating trophy's.
