A Fifth
Coalition against France consisting of Britain and Austria was also defeated
resulting in even more territorial losses for Austria. At the height of his
power, Napoleon annexed the Kingdom of Holland, that had been ruled by his
brother Louis, and parts of Northern Germany. In 1811 however Napoleon had
started his disastrous war against Russia. When that war couldn’t be won,
Austria and Prussia, by now both Napoleon “allies” would once again turn against
him,
together with Britain and Russia. This time the game was over for Napoleon.
