Bass guitar - André Nagelhout
This page contains some pictures of the bass guitar Sander de Gier has recently built for André.

The top on the alder body consists of spalted maple, the black "rings" in the wood are caused by some kind of fungus when the tree was still growing. The neck consists of 3 pieces hard maple laminated with 2 pieces dark wengé wood. The beautifull fretboard is also maple and has abalone position dots. Note the 12th fret! Pick ups are Bartolini BB humbuckers, an 18V Aguilar preamp completes the "cockpit"!

Note: even the small plate covering the truss rod access is spalted maple (see pic headstock 2)
