1: Bronze figure of Buddha

The Buddha is roughly casted and is, what we would call today, a commercial image. This one is more than 100 years old and probably at that time made in a serial of castings.

The Buddha sits on an open lotus, his right hand in Varada-Mudra: the gesture of giving favours. The face has a slightly downcast expression and a third eye, a curled hairdress and carries an usnisha (stupa).

Dark brown patina. Age: more than 100 years old.

15,5 cm high, 8,5 cm ø. Price f 450,-
