Tamiya 1:35 universal carrier MK II + Resi cast + eduard upgrades

working on this little british carrier ,using the eduard photo etch set 35 364 and the Resi cast stowage No1 and "crushed suspension" and tracks.

at first i thought that fitting the resin tracks on the model would be difficult , but these were just fantastic to handle and easy to use.

for this small model i used the photo etch set from eduard ,to really get the detail out ,and make this little model that more interesting

hope to finish the build of the model in the coming weeks ,and then add one or two crew figures (that will take some time too ...)

I will make this one in a CANADIAN version , (the Canadian 2nd infantry division ) because i think the Canadian efforts in the 2nd world war ,are always a bit ignored..brushed aside or...lost in the shadow of American,British,Russian and german focus on the 2nd world war and i hope ,with this model to pay a tribute to Canadian soldiers who played a great part in the liberation of europe and the netherlands in particular..

some of the weaponry and radio set that goes into the carrier...

this carrier was used by the canadian 2nd infantry division - in the european theater of operations ( ETO)

added a figure from mini art "British tank crew " but with a head from hornet. and done some mild weathering on the vehicle ,just giving it a dusty worn look, with some chipping.

in all a nice and good kit to build , and a nice addition to my Plastic Panzer museum...
